Secure myself in the music business I am creating as an artist/vocalist/songwriter/musician and my record company, Lion Records LA. My goal is selling licensed music and helping artists, particularly in Haiti. If the universe put the biggest heart in music it is in Haiti. These people music keeps their souls going as the economy is so very difficult. They are just the same urban people like any city folks not what the media shows. It’s just so hard to survive, with even eating daily. They are proud and just want to be independent like anyone. I hope I can help to let the world know of this amazing music coming out of Haiti, from totally cool Hip Hop to their amazing traditional Rhythms of Kompa, Karnaval music and Reggae to name a few. Then Let me surf, dance, love and be happy!!!

I’m a simple Girl…

Name: Robert Hamilton

Musical past and present in one rambling run-on sentence: I am from The Cranford Nix school of music that taught me that great songs with catchy choruses that are real life stories are much better than being a virtuoso singer or guitar player and that describes The Hamiltons perfectly where we came from and where we are

“Small wheel turn by the fire and rod, big wheel turn by the grace of God, every time that wheel turn round, bound to cover just a little more ground”

3. How would you describe your perfect day?

Waking up next to a wonderfully kind beautiful woman to the oceans roar. Meditating and praying as the sun rises followed by a nice healthy breakfast of fresh fruit and strong black coffee. Spending the day planting flowers and taking in mother natures earth. The evening would then be spent playing a huge concert singing and dancing. Sharing this wonderful blessing that is called music that connects all of us earthly souls and brings so much joy into people’s hearts

4. What would your friends say they appreciate the most about you?

2 things:

My Bible and my old beat up acoustic guitar

6. Who were you, or would you be nervous to meet?

When I first met Peter Wolf of The J Geils Band but he’s such a sweet guy whom I have got to see time and again.

There are  a couple people that I would be absolutely nervous to meet:

Mick Jagger and Keith Richards from The Rolling Stones

Phil Lesh and Bob Weir from The Grateful Dead and lately from Furthur

7. If you could blink your eyes and be in a favourite place right now, where would that place be?

A tropical island surrounded by the oceans roar and palm trees. I guess Hawaii would fit the description 🙂

8. Is there something you would like to do more of in the future?

I would love to be able to take The Hamiltons to a world-wide audience so that I could share my love of life love and spirit with as many people as possible to help promote the greater good of all. So the short answer is to be able to play as much and to as many people as possible

9. Where would you like to find yourself in ten years?

I would love to be in a position to where The Hamiltons have become a huge success so that I can accomplish my true goal which is to help as many people as possible (especially Women and Children). I want to be a spark plug for people of all faiths and walks of life coming together for the greater good of all. We live in a world of plenty yet kids are dying of starvation which is wrong. I would love to be in a position to teach people that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts and that if you have been blessed materially that it is your duty to give something back.
